Apleona wins at prestigious FM industry awards!
Apleona is celebrating after winning a major award at one of the UK’s most prestigious FM industry ceremonies.
The UK and Ireland facilities management and Workspace company took home the prize at the Premises & Facilities Management (PFM) Awards 2017, held on Wednesday 1st November in London.
The winning entry in the Partners in Retail category related to the bespoke Ops9 CAFM system, developed by Apleona for use in the partnership with Touchwood shopping centre in Solihull.
The Ops9 system, in use at Touchwood since 2016, has made a significant impact after enabling the team to overcome obstacles previously experienced with ‘off the shelf’ CAFM systems, including poor connection on over 40% of the site, an inability to add or amend tasks, slow operation, lack of storage and being difficult to use for colleagues with English as a second language.
Andy Cole MBE, General Manager, said: “Congratulations to the entire team at Touchwood for this brilliant achievement. The introduction of Ops9 has made a tangible difference to how services are delivered and monitored at the centre and the award recognising this positive impact is richly deserved.”
James Thoden van Velzen, Apleona UK and Ireland Chief Executive, Officer, said: “I am delighted and proud that the fantastic efforts of the team at Touchwood have been recognised by the wider industry. The Ops9 system typifies what Apleona stands for as an organisation in continually reviewing our processes and embracing new technology, in order to ensure that we offer the best possible service for our clients.”
