Apleona Workspace makes all the difference for Edinburgh MS Centre
Apleona Workspace has successfully provided the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Therapy Centre Lothian with a brand-new look after recently completing much-needed improvement works and donating free new furniture.
The need for refurbishments at the Edinburgh-based Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre Lothian were first highlighted in a special video recorded as part of MS Awareness Month, in which the centre manager talked about issues relating to MS and how the centre itself could do with a face-lift to provide a better and more therapeutic environment for the needs of local people living with MS..
Apleona Workspace specialists visited the centre and subsequently produced outline proposals for improvements, taking into account the requirements of clients such as a complex range of mobility and sensory issues. Once the works were completed the improvements to the reception area transformed it into a modern welcoming hub, and the therapy rooms became a much more professional and functional space for both the therapists and clients.
In addition to the contracted works, Apleona was able to go the extra mile and donate new office and group space furniture, as well as reupholstering and refreshing their orthopaedic chairs and providing wallcoverings for key areas, which were donated by suppliers Camira Fabric and Tektura Wallcoverings respectively.
Nancy Campbell, Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre Lothian Manager, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the end result and all of our employees and clients are thrilled at the difference it has made. The centre is unrecognisable it is now a light and bright modern space, providing a professional and functional working environment, for which we cannot thank Apleona enough.”
Karen Russell, Apleona Workspace Senior Design Consultant, said: “It’s been great to hear such positive feedback from our client and the staff who work at the centre every day. As a result of the works the centre now offers a much more professional space to work in, while the offices and therapy rooms are so much more clean, fresh, spacious and bright.
“It’s really fantastic to see the reactions on people’s faces as they walk through the door.”
